#9412. Modern façade with contrasting combination of brick, wood, and metal

Before us is a modern two-story residential house that masterfully combines various materials and architectural solutions. The façade presents a harmonious contrast between the light brick masonry of the first floor and the dark vertical metal siding of the second floor. Special expressiveness is created by the natural wood insert on the second floor, framing panoramic windows and the balcony area.

The façade composition is built on clear geometric shapes. The upper floor has a rectangular form with a flat roof, creating the effect of a floating volume above the light base. Large windows on the first and second floors provide abundant natural lighting for internal spaces and visually lighten the massiveness of the structure.

The open terrace on the second floor with minimalist metal railings adds functionality and serves as an important element of the exterior. The entrance to the house is accentuated by a wooden porch with laconic railings that harmonize with the overall stylistics of the building.

The landscape design of the plot complements the architectural solution: neat plantings of shrubs and ornamental plants soften the transition from the house to the surrounding territory. An interesting element is the pathway made of separate slabs leading to the house.

When designing your own façade, you can adopt the following techniques: contrasting combination of materials (brick, metal, wood), playing with different textures, using horizontal and vertical lines to create visual accents, as well as incorporating functional elements (terraces, balconies) as an organic part of the overall façade composition.
