#9031. Dual Facade: Harmony of Brick and Metal in a Contemporary Residential House

The photograph showcases a modern residential house with an interesting combination of materials and forms. The facade demonstrates a contrasting solution using light gray brickwork and dark metal panels. The architectural composition plays with the dynamics of pitched roofs of varying heights, creating an asymmetrical yet balanced silhouette.

The ground floor is predominantly constructed from light gray brick with a textured surface. Particularly noteworthy is the large panoramic window on the left, which visually lightens the massiveness of the brick wall and creates an interesting dialogue between interior and exterior. The entrance area is designed in a minimalist style, with a neat door and stone slabs forming a path to the entrance.

The second floor is partially faced with the same brick and partially with vertical dark metal panels, giving the building a contemporary industrial character. This part of the building projects forward, forming a small balcony with metal railings. The window openings on the second floor have varying proportions, adding dynamism to the facade.

The project masterfully employs the technique of contrasting materials and textures: smooth metal surfaces are juxtaposed with rough brickwork, creating an expressive play of light and shadow. When designing your own facade, you might consider adopting such a combination of traditional and modern materials, an asymmetrical composition of volumes, and thoughtful work with window openings of different sizes.
