Modern eco-minimalist facade: harmony of wood, stone, and glass

#8857. Modern eco-minimalist facade: harmony of wood, stone, and glass

This is an excellent example of a modern country house renovation where traditional and contemporary elements harmoniously blend together. The building's facade presents an interesting dialogue between several materials: light plaster, natural wood, and stone. The right side of the facade is clad with horizontal wooden boards, creating a warm, natural accent while emphasizing modern aesthetics.

Particular attention is drawn to the contrast between the partially preserved stone masonry on the left, which likely remains from the original structure, and the modern wooden and plastered surfaces. Large panoramic windows with thin dark frames ensure maximum penetration of natural light into the interior and create a visual connection between the indoor space and the landscape.

The natural wood deck organically extends the interior space of the house, creating a comfortable relaxation area with wicker furniture. The architect skillfully used different levels and textures to zone the space. The vertical rhythm on the facade is emphasized by downpipes and lighting elements, as well as an interesting volumetric solution with niches to the left of the entrance.

In your own home, you can apply similar techniques: combining different materials on the facade to create textural diversity, using natural wood as an accent material, incorporating large glazing for better interaction with the surrounding landscape, and creating a functional terrace as an extension of the living space.
