The presented façade demonstrates an expressive example of modern minimalist architecture with clean geometric shapes and contrasting materials. The two-story volume is designed as a compact rectangular block with a flat roof, clad in dark gray panels that create a monolithic, austere image.
The façade gains particular expressiveness through the contrast between the dark outer shell and the warm wooden decor of the lower tier. The panoramic glazing of the second floor breaks up the monolithic nature of the volume, creating the effect of a floating upper part of the building and providing excellent natural lighting to the interior. The glass railings of the balcony on the second floor emphasize the lightness of the construction and the contemporary character of the architecture.
The ground floor is partially finished with wooden cladding – both in the form of a terrace with wooden decking and in the design of the entrance area. Built-in lighting highlights the texture of the materials and creates a special atmosphere in the evening. The wide glazing of the façade and glass sliding doors blur the boundary between internal and external space.
In designing your own façade, several techniques can be adopted: contrasting combinations of different materials (in this case, metal panels and wood), the use of large glazing to create an impression of lightness and openness, integrated lighting as both a functional and decorative element, as well as clear structuring of the building volumes with emphasis on central and lateral parts.
