#783. Historic Stone Facade with Vibrant Blue Door Portal in Quebec

Before us is a remarkable example of historical architecture with an expressive blue doorway, harmoniously integrated into the stone masonry of the facade. The building's facade is constructed from natural sandstone-colored stone, with characteristic texture and heterogeneity in the masonry, indicating its historical origin.

The central element of the composition is a bright blue entrance door with classical proportions and a distinctive door portal. The portal is designed in a traditional style with vertical fluting on the sides and a simple yet elegant cornice above. The door itself has six panels and a small mail slot at the bottom. Of particular note is the semicircular transom window above the door with a geometric stained glass pattern in red and black tones, creating a striking contrast with the blue framing.

Above the entrance is a small heraldic medallion or seal, presumably indicating the official status of the building. To the right of the door is an informational plaque for the Quebec Chamber of Commerce (Chamber of Commerce of Quebec). The window openings are also painted in the same rich blue color as the door and feature black shutters, creating a rhythmic visual accent against the stone wall.
