Modern country house with contrasting facade: combination of brick, wood and metal

#7796. Modern country house with contrasting facade: combination of brick, wood and metal

This modern country house showcases an interesting combination of materials and forms. The architectural composition is based on the contrast between the dark gray brick ground floor and the wooden upper volume with its pointed gable roof. The facade features clean geometry and strict lines characteristic of contemporary Scandinavian architecture.

The lower level is constructed of dark gray brick, creating a solid visual foundation for the building. Large glass sliding doors provide direct access to the terrace and create a transparency effect, visually lightening the massive brick base. The upper floor is clad in natural light-colored wooden panels that develop a natural patina over time, emphasizing the building's connection with the surrounding nature.

Particularly expressive is the dark gray metal roof with characteristic standing seams, which clearly defines the silhouette of the house and creates an interesting contrast with the wooden cladding. The architect skillfully used the traditional form of a gable roof, giving it a contemporary interpretation through minimalist design without protruding eaves.

On the right side of the building, there is a more restrained extension with a flat roof, which also employs a combination of brick and metal panels. The landscape design of the plot subtly emphasizes the architecture: white pebbles create a clear border around the house, while minimalist shrub plantings complement the overall composition without overwhelming it.
