Dual Façade: Contemporary Minimalism with Contrasting Stone and Wood Combination

#7703. Dual Façade: Contemporary Minimalism with Contrasting Stone and Wood Combination

This modern two-story house is a striking example of minimalist architecture with a thoughtfully designed contrasting façade solution. The architect skillfully combines two primary materials: gray textured stone and warm vertical wooden cladding, creating a visually balanced composition.

The building's façade is characterized by clean geometric forms and a pronounced horizontal line of the flat roof with a wooden cornice, beneath which a series of recessed lights are installed. Large panoramic windows on the second floor provide abundant natural light to the interior space, while the glass balcony railing creates a sense of lightness and airiness.

The garage section, clad in wooden panels, is organically integrated into the overall composition of the house rather than appearing as a separate utilitarian element. The private nature of the dwelling is emphasized by a horizontal wooden fence of the same shade as the wooden façade cladding, creating visual unity. Minimalist landscaping near the entrance softens the strict geometry of the architecture.

Special attention is drawn to the flat canopy of frosted glass above the second-floor entrance area, which serves not only as a functional element but also emphasizes the horizontal lines in the overall façade composition. Overall, the project demonstrates a carefully considered balance of functionality, aesthetics, and contemporary minimalism.
