#7621. Minimalist Facade with Cantilevered Volume: Contrast of Concrete and White Geometry

Before us is a modern residential house executed in a minimalist architectural style with a pronounced geometric composition. The facade of the building presents an interesting combination of materials and volumes. The main volume of the house is a white rectangular parallelepiped on the second floor, which dramatically cantilevers over the first floor, creating an overhang and a protected space beneath it.

The facade solution is built on a contrast of textures: smooth white walls of the upper volume juxtaposed against the textured concrete surface of the lower part of the building. Particular attention is drawn to the brutalist concrete wall with characteristic formwork texture, which serves as a kind of podium for the upper volume and visually grounds the composition.

In the facade design, the architect skillfully used vertical wooden slats in a warm shade, which break up the monochrome nature of the main materials and create a rhythmic accent. The glazing of the first floor is executed from floor to ceiling, blurring the boundary between internal and external spaces, which emphasizes the openness of the dwelling to its surroundings.

The house is organically integrated into the landscape: the green lawn, surrounding trees, and a small pool with greenish-turquoise mosaic create a harmonious context for the architectural object. Especially attractive is the open terrace area with a burgundy-colored canopy, which expands the living space and creates a smooth transition to the pool.
