#722. Gothic facade with arched doorway framed by autumn ivy

Before us is a magnificent example of Gothic architectural style — an elegant wooden door framed by a stone arch with a characteristic pointed finish. The door is made of solid dark wood, features six coffered panels, and an upper glazed section with fine mullioned glass divided into squares by metal muntins. The wood texture is emphasized by a deep warm reddish-brown tone, creating an expressive contrast with the beige-gray shades of the stonework.

The stone framing of the facade is executed with exceptional craftsmanship — the arch has a gentle pointed shape, typical of Gothic architecture, with carefully processed blocks forming a smooth vault line. The facade is complemented by a picturesque element — the bright red leaves of Virginia creeper (Parthenocissus), which dramatically entwines the wall, creating a stunning natural accent. In autumn, this climbing element acquires a rich scarlet color that effectively contrasts with both the stonework and the wooden door.

To the left of the entrance, a vintage lantern is visible, skillfully integrated into the overall composition and emphasizing the historical authenticity of the facade. The overall composition creates an atmosphere of mystery and romance characteristic of neo-Gothic buildings often found in university campuses or historic mansions.
