Exquisite Art Nouveau Facade from 1910 with Rich Decorative Elements

#5702. Exquisite Art Nouveau Facade from 1910 with Rich Decorative Elements

This exquisite facade represents a superb example of Art Nouveau style from the early 20th century, as evidenced by the Roman numeral dating "MCMX" (1910) on the decorative panel above the main entrance. The building features rich ornamental stucco work and the characteristic flowing, organic lines of Art Nouveau.

The facade is clad in light-colored stone and adorned with abundant sculptural decoration that creates an interplay of light and shadow. Particularly noteworthy is the central arch of the main entrance with elegant wooden doors decorated with stained glass and wrought iron elements. The curved railings of the staircase leading to the entrance demonstrate the typical fluidity of Art Nouveau lines.

Balconies with artfully crafted wrought iron railings harmoniously blend into the overall composition. The ground floor windows with red shutters are framed by decorative elements that emphasize the vertical rhythm of the facade. Colorful stained glass inserts and mosaic panels add chromatic accents to the building, enlivening the monochromatic stone finish.

On either side of the entrance are decorative planters with palm trees, suggesting a possible Mediterranean or Southern European origin of the building. The meticulous attention to detail, the combination of functionality with decorative features, and the organic nature of the forms make this facade a remarkable example of Art Nouveau architecture.
