#5398. Historic Mansion with Flemish Facade and Neoclassical Colonnade

This magnificent brick mansion is an excellent example of American architecture from the late 19th to early 20th century, executed in a neoclassical style with elements of Flemish Baroque. The facade of the building is distinguished by strict symmetry and rich decorative ornamentation.

Particular attention is drawn to the grand entrance with a colonnade supporting the portico. The classical columns with capitals are complemented by an exquisite cornice with modillions. Above the portico is a decorative pediment with sculptural ornamentation. The facade is also adorned with characteristic Flemish-style gables with volutes and a round rose window.

The brickwork is executed with high craftsmanship, with contrasting white elements framing the windows and decorative details. A tall brick chimney adds a vertical accent to the building's composition. The two-story structure is crowned with a complex multi-pitched roof with dormer windows.
