#5299. Victorian House with Composite Facade: Stone and Wood in Historical Dialogue

The historical building presented showcases a classic example of Victorian-era architecture with characteristic elements of American country style. The facade of the house features a well-developed composition and a combination of diverse materials.

The ground floor is constructed from a rough stone foundation, built with natural irregularly shaped stones, giving the building solidity and connecting it to the ground. The upper floors are clad with sand-colored wooden siding with brown decorative elements at the corners and protrusions.

Particularly noteworthy are the tall triangular gables typical of Victorian architecture, complete with ventilation windows. The facade is distinguished by numerous rectangular windows with contrasting green shutters, creating a rhythmic visual pattern. Bay windows and projecting sections add dynamics and asymmetry to the volume, characteristic of this architectural style.

A substantial brick chimney emphasizes the vertical articulation of the building. A memorial plaque is installed on the lawn in front of the house, indicating the historical significance of the structure. This building represents a beautifully preserved example of American historical architecture from the late 19th century.
