#5203. Decorative Art Deco Facade with Sunburst Motif

The photograph showcases a magnificent example of Art Deco architecture with modernist elements. The entrance portal of building number 1062 demonstrates the decorative nature and geometric expressiveness characteristic of this architectural style.

The facade is designed as an arched entrance framed with multicolored tiles. The color palette features soft pastel tones - ochre, turquoise, black, and terracotta, creating a harmonious combination. On both sides of the arch, there are circular medallions with decorative elements.

Particularly noteworthy is the semicircular pediment above the wooden door, designed as a sunburst with radiating golden rays - a motif frequently found in Art Deco. Below this element is the house number "1062," executed in a stylistically appropriate font.

The natural wood door with square glass inserts appears more restrained compared to the decorative framing, creating an interesting contrast. Additional side glass panels increase the illumination of the entrance group.

The entire facade composition represents an excellent example of how a functional element of a building can be transformed into a genuine work of decorative art, maintaining its expressiveness and relevance decades later.
