#5192. Exquisite Art Nouveau Facade with Rich Sculptural Decoration

This is an exquisite example of early 20th century modernist architecture, likely in the Catalan Modernisme style or a similar regional variant of Art Nouveau. The building's facade demonstrates a masterful combination of structural and decorative elements characteristic of this period.

The window framing features rich sculptural decoration with flowing, organic lines typical of Art Nouveau. Particularly noteworthy is the elegant stonework around the window opening, crowned with plant motifs and a wave-like cornice. The central decorative element above the window is crafted as a stylized floral ornament with characteristic scrolls.

The wrought iron balcony with its intricate pattern harmoniously complements the architectural composition, adding lightness to the heavy stone facade. The lower part of the balcony is adorned with relief ornamentation that echoes the decor of the upper part of the window.

The wall is made of light-colored stone with inclusions of darker blocks, creating a subtle textural interplay and highlighting the craftsmanship of the time. The wave-shaped completion of the facade with pilasters on the sides demonstrates the Art Nouveau characteristic aspiration for asymmetry and fluidity of forms, departing from the strict geometry of classicism.
