Anthropomorphic wooden façade: face-door with modernist motifs

#5145. Anthropomorphic wooden façade: face-door with modernist motifs

We are presented with a striking example of creative door design where functionality merges with artistic expression. The wooden door with an abstract "face" created through metallic elements represents an intriguing solution for a public space. The main material of the door is light-colored wood, which provides a warm, organic background for the metal accents.

Particularly noteworthy is how the designer used curved metal tubes to create an anthropomorphic appearance: the upper horizontal line forms "eyebrows," the diagonal line represents a "nose," and the lower curved tube creates a "smile." The round window integrated into the structure serves as an "eye," enhancing the impression of a face on the door. This reminds one of the artistic experiments of mid-20th century modernists, particularly Picasso's abstract portraits.

The façade framing around the door deserves special attention — it is made of wooden blocks of varying depths and sizes, forming a textured mosaic composition. This relief wooden façade creates a play of light and shadow, adding depth and visual interest to the entrance area. The contrast between the smooth surface of the door and the structured surroundings enhances the expressiveness of the entire composition.

The floor covering of mosaic tiles with a geometric pattern complements the overall aesthetic of the space, creating a transition between the external and internal environment. The black mat in front of the door is a functional detail that does not disrupt the integrity of the design concept.
