#4997. Golden Northern Art Nouveau Facade with Tower and Bay Windows

The building presented is a striking example of Northern Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) architecture with elements of National Romantic style. The facade is painted in a characteristic ochre-golden color, which was popular in Scandinavian architecture of the early 20th century.

Compositionally, the building is asymmetrical: the left part of the facade is adorned with a tower featuring an elegant pyramidal roof and a weather vane, giving the silhouette a dynamic quality. The right side is more restrained and geometric. The upper line of the facade is designed as a triangular pediment with dormer windows.

Of particular interest are the decorative details: white pilasters contrast with the main tone of the walls, emphasizing the vertical lines of the facade. Semi-circular bay windows and arched windows create a soft rhythm and plasticity. The lower part of the building uses rusticated finishing of natural stone, which is characteristic of Jugendstil.

The window openings vary in shape and size — from classic rectangular to arched and semi-circular. This is a typical technique of Art Nouveau, which strives for diversity and expressiveness. The entrance group is designed using an arched portal, framed by decorative elements.

Overall, the facade demonstrates a harmonious combination of functionality and decorative quality, characteristic of Art Nouveau architecture, with its attention to detail and the desire to create a holistic artistic image.
