Art Nouveau Decorative Facade: Window Portal with Floral Ornament

#4971. Art Nouveau Decorative Facade: Window Portal with Floral Ornament

This is an excellent example of a decorative window treatment in the Art Nouveau style with elements of Jugendstil. The facade is adorned with exquisite stucco work and painted decoration, creating an impressive architectural composition. The window opening is framed by a massive golden-ochre portal with a triangular pediment, which gives it a classical solemnity.

Particularly noteworthy are the decorative elements: the pediment features a mascaron relief, while the sides of the window display stylized botanical motifs in the form of elegant floral patterns in green and pastel shades. The upper and lower parts of the window opening are emphasized by cornices with modular ornaments, creating a rhythmic pattern.

The window itself has a traditional division into sections with white frames, which contrasts with the decorative framing and highlights the functionality combined with aesthetics. The building's facade demonstrates the characteristic early 20th century aspiration for the synthesis of architecture and decorative arts, where utilitarian elements are transformed into works of art.
