#4926. Polychromatic Neo-Gothic Facade with Mosaic Decoration

This is a magnificent example of neo-Gothic architecture with Art Nouveau elements. The building is constructed of red brick with contrasting gray stone elements, creating an expressive polychromatic composition. The facade features an asymmetrical design with prominent vertical accents in the form of gabled terminations of varying heights.

Of particular note is the decorative ornamentation: numerous mosaic panels in medallions and semicircular niches above the windows, which add sophistication and artistic value to the facade. The windows vary in shape—from rectangular to arched—with tracery characteristic of the Art Nouveau style. The upper floor is adorned with pediments and crenellated elements that reference Gothic traditions.

The rhythmic alternation of window openings, decorative inserts, and stone framings creates a rich texture across the facade. Horizontal stone bands, contrasting with the red brick, visually divide the facade, giving it structure. The building is beautifully illuminated by sunlight, emphasizing the texture of the brickwork and the relief of the decorative elements.
