#4880. Exquisite facade element: Art Nouveau door with decorative carvings and blue metallic accents

The image showcases a magnificent example of an Art Nouveau wooden door. Door number 12 is framed by an elegant stone portal made of light gray stone, creating a striking contrast with the warm golden-brown tone of the wood.

The door panel is richly decorated with fluid, curved lines characteristic of the Art Nouveau style. The upper part of the door features a stained glass window with bluish glass and delicate floral motifs, divided by thin wooden partitions. The door panel has several levels of carving, creating a dimensional effect.

Of particular interest are the dark blue metallic elements — a mail slot, decorative plates, and hinges, which not only serve a functional purpose but also act as decorative accents highlighting the organic lines of the design. A metal plate is also present at the bottom of the threshold.

The arched shape of the doorway with its multi-level framing enhances the impression of depth and gives the composition special expressiveness. Such doors were commonly found in European cities of the early 20th century, in elite urban developments during the flourishing period of Art Nouveau style.
