Amber Facade: Luxurious Art Nouveau Door with Fan-Shaped Stained Glass

#4795. Amber Facade: Luxurious Art Nouveau Door with Fan-Shaped Stained Glass

The photograph displays an impressive example of Art Nouveau architecture. We see a magnificent entrance door to building number 45, representing a masterpiece of woodworking craftsmanship. The door is made of wood in a warm honey-amber shade, which creates a beautiful contrast with the gray stone facade masonry.

The door's construction includes two main elements: the lower part with double-leaf doors and the upper part featuring an exquisite fan-shaped stained glass. The door panels are decorated with carved elements characteristic of Art Nouveau's organic style — flowing lines and floral motifs, particularly noticeable in the lower and middle sections of the panels. Each door leaf is divided into three decorative panels with elegant relief work.

Of particular interest is the semi-circular stained glass window above the door with gilded or brass dividers arranged in a fan pattern, typical for Art Nouveau style. The colored artistic glass in the transom complements the composition, adding an additional color accent.

The building facade is made of light-colored stone, presumably limestone, with details characteristic of early 20th century French architecture. A small sculptural insert (a cartouche with the building number) and minimalist window framing are noticeable. Green leaves of a plant hanging from above add an organic element to the overall composition, enhancing the impression of Art Nouveau as a style inspired by natural forms.
