Art Nouveau Facade with Majolica Panels and Wrought Iron Balconies

#4652. Art Nouveau Facade with Majolica Panels and Wrought Iron Balconies

This exquisite facade represents a magnificent example of Art Nouveau architecture characteristic of the turn of the 19th-20th centuries. The building is adorned with luxurious ceramic panels featuring floral motifs and female figures executed in majolica technique. Particularly expressive are the decorative inserts between windows, which depict stylized female figures in long dresses.

The architectural composition of the facade is emphasized by alternating vertical lines of window openings and decorative panels. Special attention is drawn to the elegant wrought iron balconies with plant ornaments typical of Art Nouveau, creating a lacy silhouette against the stone plane of the wall. Each balcony rests on artfully executed consoles with relief elements.

The color scheme of the facade is built on the contrast between the neutral pinkish-gray background of the walls and the bright multicolored majolica panels with golden, green, and terracotta accents. The plasticity of the facade is enriched with relief elements above the windows and along the perimeter of decorative inserts, creating a complex play of light and shadow characteristic of Art Nouveau architecture. The lower level is decorated with rustication, which emphasizes the vertical dynamics of the building.
