Elegant Art Nouveau Facade with Decorative Portal and Female Relief from the Early 20th Century

#4430. Elegant Art Nouveau Facade with Decorative Portal and Female Relief from the Early 20th Century

Before us is an exquisite example of Art Nouveau architecture, presumably dating from the early 20th century. The facade is painted in a soft sand color, creating a warm, elegant background for the expressive decorative elements.

The central accent of the composition is an impressive door portal with blue double doors. Above the entrance is a relief depicting a female figure in a golden wreath, characteristic of Art Nouveau aesthetics with its gravitation towards organic forms and female imagery. The inscription "U KPTING" (possibly the building's name or owner's surname) is executed in a stylized font beneath the relief.

The architectural framing of the portal represents an elegant combination of flowing lines and botanical motifs — characteristic winding stems, leaves, and floral elements. Particularly noteworthy is the asymmetrical ornamental composition with wave-like curls and foliate decoration framing the semicircular window above the door, in which the female relief is installed.

The doors are painted in a rich blue color, creating a striking contrast with the main tone of the facade. They have glass inserts and metal decorative elements executed in the same organic style. The house number — 13 — is indicated on a blue plaque to the right of the entrance, while on the left one can notice a historical plaque with the date 1906, confirming the building's belonging to the heyday period of Art Nouveau.

Overall, this facade represents a magnificent example of Art Nouveau with its love for natural forms, flowing lines, and decorative richness, embodying the characteristic idea of this style — the synthesis of architecture and decorative arts.
