#4092. Traditional carved window frame of a Russian wooden facade with cross-topped pediment

The facade window is a magnificent example of traditional Russian wooden architecture. Located on the wall of a log house, this window features rich carvings and meticulously crafted decorative elements. The upper part of the window frame is adorned with an elegant cornice with openwork carvings resembling lace, which is characteristic of Russian wooden architectural traditions.

Of particular note is the central element above the window — a decorative pediment with a religious symbol in the form of a cross, framed by an ornamental composition. The side posts of the window frame are decorated with geometric patterns that emphasize the verticality of the structure. The lower part is finished with a shaped board featuring flowing scrolls and floral ornaments, which gives the entire composition a sense of completeness.

The window itself has a form traditional for Russian wooden houses — double-leaf with muntins dividing the glass into four parts. Behind the glass, one can see lace curtains, which adds authenticity and coziness to the composition. The entire window structure harmoniously blends with the texture of the log wall, creating an architectural ensemble that reflects centuries-old traditions of Russian folk architecture.
