#4086. Traditional Russian wooden façade with carved "uzorochye" decoration

This façade fragment represents a magnificent example of Russian wooden architecture in the traditional carving style known as "uzorochye." The building features a yellow wall coloration characteristic of 19th-century Russian architecture, with snow-white decorative elements creating an expressive contrast.

The central element of the composition is a window opening divided into two symmetrical windows, framed by exquisite carvings. The window surrounds demonstrate incredibly fine work by master carvers, with openwork elements and complex floral ornaments. The upper part of the window framing is crowned with a double arched structure with a rich decorative completion, reminiscent of kokoshniks in Russian architecture.

On the sides of the window composition are vertical decorative pilasters with ornamental patterns characteristic of Russian wooden architecture. They visually support the upper part of the façade and create a rhythmic structure. The lower part of the façade is decorated with a green base, which is a typical color solution for traditional Russian buildings.

The filigree elaboration of details deserves special attention - scrolls, rosettes, floral motifs, and geometric elements create a complex yet harmonious composition. This is an excellent example of the so-called "propilnoy" decor, where patterns are cut from thin wooden boards.
