This architectural detail represents an elegant and functional enclosure characteristic of Japanese gardens. The structure consists of vertical and diagonal bamboo poles fastened together with black cords at intersection points, creating a distinctive diamond-shaped pattern.

Particularly noteworthy is the binding technique, which not only ensures structural integrity but also becomes an important decorative element. The black knots contrast with the natural golden-brown color of the aged bamboo, emphasizing the geometric precision of the construction.
