Fading Blue Facade: Queen Anne Victorian Mansion

#3266. Fading Blue Facade: Queen Anne Victorian Mansion

The image showcases a magnificent example of Queen Anne Victorian architecture—a two-story wooden house featuring a characteristic corner tower crowned with a tall conical roof. The facade is painted in a soft blue color, typical for Victorian palette, complemented by white and dark red accents on the windows and decorative elements.

The building demonstrates an asymmetrical composition, highly valued in late 19th-century architecture. Particular attention is drawn to the front facade with its expressive bay window and semi-circular window with ornamental stained glass. The porch is adorned with elegant carved columns and a balustrade, while the gable above the main entrance emphasizes the vertical nature of the composition.

Unfortunately, the building appears to be in a state of neglect—damage is visible in the upper part of the tower, some decorative elements are missing, and there are general signs of dilapidation. Nevertheless, even in this condition, this house represents significant architectural value as a specimen of American historical construction with rich decorative features, including carved brackets, ornamental cornices, and window framing characteristic of that period.

We develop projects of facdes for private houses.
