Stone Facade Country House: Traditional Masonry in Modern Execution

#2993. Stone Facade Country House: Traditional Masonry in Modern Execution

The presented building showcases a charming stone house in a traditional American country style. The facade is constructed entirely of natural stone in sandy-gray tones, skillfully laid across the entire surface of the walls. The architectural solution is distinguished by its combination of cottage and manor house architectural elements.

The facade features an asymmetrical composition with two stone chimneys—one on the main facade and another on the side. The right part of the structure has an arched entrance with a small porch protected by wrought iron railing. The left part represents a two-story volume with French windows on the first floor and a modest balcony with wooden railings on the second.

The windows are framed with white trim, creating a clear contrast with the stone masonry. The roof has a slight pitch and is complemented by reddish-brown gutters that echo the color of the roof trim. The landscaping around the house is minimalist—neat shrubs and low plants accentuate the texture of the stone facade without drawing attention away from it.

The overall architectural concept demonstrates a desire to create a cozy yet substantial dwelling with clear references to the European tradition of country houses, particularly showing the influence of English cottage style.
