Woven Facade: Traditional Technique in Modern Landscape Design

#2886. Woven Facade: Traditional Technique in Modern Landscape Design

The image showcases an elegant example of woven fencing, executed in traditional weaving technique using natural materials. While not a classical architectural facade in the strict sense, but rather an element of landscape design, its constructive and aesthetic qualities deserve attention.

The fence features a smooth curved form that organically integrates into the surrounding green landscape. The structural foundation consists of vertical wooden posts with circular cross-sections, positioned at equal distances from each other. Between these supporting elements, horizontal rods are skillfully woven, creating a characteristic rhythmic pattern.

The upper section of the fence deserves special attention with its decorative weaving, where the rods form a wave-like pattern, giving the entire structure dynamism and visual lightness. The natural shades of wood—ranging from light beige to rich reddish-brown—harmoniously complement the green lawn and surrounding vegetation.

This example demonstrates how traditional craft techniques can create functional and simultaneously aesthetically pleasing architectural elements that become an organic part of the natural landscape.

We develop projects of facdes for private houses.
