Metal star-shaped decor on the facade of a historical building

#2552. Metal star-shaped decor on the facade of a historical building

The image shows an expressive architectural element located at the top of a door or window opening. This is a metal decorative structure made in the form of a star-shaped ornament of wrought metal, installed in a semicircular niche of light stone or marble.

The metal detail has a radial composition with a central node from which eight decorative ribs symmetrically radiate. Each ray is adorned with metal elements resembling stylized leaves. The solution of the central part is particularly interesting, where all elements connect, forming a kind of metal flower.

The facade framing is made of light stone with noticeable traces of patina, which gives the structure a sense of historical depth. The arched shape of the niche harmoniously combines with the geometry of the metal decor, creating a cohesive architectural ensemble. In the lower part, a portion of the door or window opening is visible with a continuation of the metal decoration, which organically transitions to the framing.

This element is a striking example of the synthesis of architecture and decorative arts, demonstrating high mastery of metalworking and attention to detail characteristic of historical architectural styles.
