#2533. Decorative Floral Mosaic on Facade: A Synthesis of Modernism and Tradition in Architectural Design

The presented image showcases an exquisite mosaic panel, which is likely an element of decorative design on a building facade or interior. This mosaic is executed in the technique of multicolored smalt using the traditional method of laying small fragments.

The composition features a stylized floral ornament with five large yellow roses surrounded by green leaves on a white background. All this is framed by a characteristic blue wavy border, creating a dynamic visual solution. Around the perimeter of the panel is an orange-yellow border of square elements, which gives the composition completeness.

This decorative element reflects the influence of modernist trends of the mid-20th century, particularly noticeable in the architectural decor of the Soviet period. The color palette and geometrized yet recognizably botanical motif are characteristic of the decoration of public buildings, sanatoriums, or metro stations of that time.

The technical execution of the mosaic demonstrates high craftsmanship: despite visible traces of time and some loss of fragments, the clarity of the drawing and the expressiveness of color combinations are preserved, which indicates the architect's thoughtful approach to decoration details.
