Before us is a magnificent example of Art Nouveau from the early 20th century — a wooden double-leaf entrance door, framed by an exquisite stone portal. Of particular artistic value is the decorative design of the upper part of the portal, executed with the flowing lines and botanical motifs characteristic of the Art Nouveau style.
The portal features an asymmetrical, fluid form reminiscent of natural organic structures. At the center of the upper section is an expressive element in the form of a stylized shell or fan — a typical decorative motif of the Art Nouveau era. The door itself is made of solid wood in a warm, honey-brown shade with rich texture. Each leaf is divided into two parts, with the upper panels decorated with elegant carvings in the form of floral compositions framed in square borders. The lower panels are styled with vertical relief lines, creating a rhythmic structure and visually elongating the door. The door handles and keyhole are asymmetrically positioned, which is also characteristic of Art Nouveau aesthetics.
The contrast between the light stone portal and the rich tone of the wooden door creates a harmonious composition, emphasizing the individuality and artistic expressiveness of the facade. This architectural element is an excellent example of how a functional object can be transformed into a true work of art through attention to detail and masterful execution.
