Decorative Art Nouveau: Floral Facade with Turquoise Window

#2438. Decorative Art Nouveau: Floral Facade with Turquoise Window

The presented facade fragment showcases an exquisite example of Art Nouveau architecture from the early 20th century. The facade is painted in a delicate olive-green color, creating a subtle contrast with the decorative elements in pink and turquoise tones.

The central window with turquoise shutters is framed by a magnificent decorative portal. The framing is executed in a light pink color with elegant floral ornamentation. Particularly eye-catching are seven stylized flowers with yellow-green centers – a typical Art Nouveau floral motif. Three flowers adorn the upper arch, while four are horizontally arranged above the window opening.

Above the window runs a decorative strip of ceramic tiles with blue and white ornamentation. The tiles alternate: white backgrounds with blue four-petaled flower patterns, bordered by alternating white and dark blue rectangular elements. This technique emphasizes the sophistication of the facade and reflects the influence of Mediterranean and Moorish traditions in Art Nouveau architecture.

The elegance of lines, fluidity of forms, and attention to decorative details make this facade an excellent example of Art Nouveau architecture, where functionality harmoniously combines with expressive aesthetics.
