#2118. Modernist Façade with Green Shutters and Decorative Ironwork

Before us is a striking example of modernist architecture with elements of Catalan Art Nouveau. The window with its characteristic green shutters is framed by exquisite façade decoration. The upper part of the window opening is adorned with carved wooden ornament in green with flowing curves typical of the Art Nouveau style.

The decorative framing of the façade deserves special attention: a red and white geometric frieze with rosette motifs runs above the window and along the sides, creating a contrasting color scheme with the green elements. The lower part of the window is protected by a wrought iron railing with flowing lines and symmetrical pattern resembling a stylized plant motif — a characteristic element of Art Nouveau.

The building façade is executed in light beige tones, with a combination of textures: the upper part is smooth, while the lower part has the texture of natural stone with elements of brickwork. This contrast of materials creates an interesting interplay of textures and emphasizes the vertical articulation of the façade.

The architectural solution demonstrates a harmonious combination of functionality and decorativeness, where practical shutters are incorporated into an aesthetically pleasing design characteristic of Mediterranean architecture from the early 20th century.
