Before us is an expressive element of architectural decor, representing the upper part of a building facade in Art Nouveau style (or eclectic with Baroque elements). The composition includes an elegantly designed arched pediment with rich stucco work.
The focal point is a distinctive keystone in the form of a stylized plant motif resembling acanthus, which crowns the arch. Below it is a decorative composition with a round rosette window, adorned with skillfully executed floral ornaments and a lattice structure. The rosette window is framed by lush stucco decor with floral motifs characteristic of the Art Nouveau of the early 20th century.
The beige color of the facade effectively contrasts with the bright blue sky in the background, emphasizing the relief and plasticity of the architectural elements. The play of light and shadow on the relief details gives the composition special expressiveness, enhancing their dimensionality and decorative value.
This fragment demonstrates the high mastery of the architect and sculptors who worked on creating the facade, and is an excellent example of decorative art in architecture of the late 19th – early 20th century.
