This modern urban house represents an excellent example of mixing materials and textures in contemporary architecture. The facade demonstrates a superior combination of three primary materials: dark metal siding on the upper level, warm wooden cladding in the middle section, and classic red brick in the lower tier and perimeter wall.
The upper floor with its asymmetrical pitched roof is clad in vertical metal panels in a graphite shade, giving the building a modern industrial character. Large panoramic windows on the upper level provide abundant natural light and visually lighten the massiveness of the dark cladding. The lower level of the entrance area is finished with warm wooden panels, creating a cozy and welcoming contrast with the more austere upper floor.
A particularly interesting element of the facade design is the use of red brick to create a semi-open courtyard and boundary elements. This classic material brings warmth and tactility to the overall composition, as well as providing a visual connection with the traditional architecture of the surroundings. Black metal gates and window frames create clear graphic accents against the background of the brickwork.
This layered approach to facades can be utilized in private construction: combining 2-3 contrasting materials (metal, wood, brick) allows for creating a dynamic, modern building appearance with diverse textures. It's important to ensure balance between materials, as shown in this project, where each element has its place in the overall architectural composition.
