Modern country house with stone and wood facade featuring horizontal louvers

#18575. Modern country house with stone and wood facade featuring horizontal louvers

This modern country house is a magnificent example of an organic combination of natural materials and architectural expressiveness. The facade demonstrates masterful use of stone and wood, creating a simultaneously substantial and elegant image. The stonework with its natural texture and warm tones forms a significant part of the exterior, giving the structure a sense of solidity and connection with the landscape.

The compositional solution of the facade deserves special attention with its pronounced horizontal dynamics, emphasized by wooden louvers on the upper level of the left wing. These louvers not only serve a decorative function but also regulate the lighting of interior spaces, creating an interesting play of light and shadow. Large panoramic windows ensure maximum connection between interior spaces and the surrounding nature, filling the house with natural light.

The architect skillfully utilized multi-level volumes, creating an interesting yet harmonious composition. The two-story section on the left is balanced by the more grounded right wing, while the integrity of the image is maintained through a unified material palette and stylistic approach. The open terrace with minimalist furniture serves as a logical extension of the interior space, expanding the living area during warm weather.

When designing a home facade, several techniques from this project can be adopted: contrasting texture combinations (smooth and textured surfaces), use of horizontal elements to visually expand space, thoughtful work with natural lighting through large windows, and carefully organized outdoor relaxation areas organically connected to the building's architecture.
