Minimalist Facade with Cantilevered Extension: Contemporary House with Panoramic Glass

#18237. Minimalist Facade with Cantilevered Extension: Contemporary House with Panoramic Glass

This structure exemplifies contemporary architecture with an expressive minimalist facade that harmoniously combines glass, wood, and metal. The two-story building features bold geometry—the upper floor has a cantilevered extension that creates a dynamic composition. Particularly impressive is the panoramic glazing that occupies a significant portion of the facade, providing abundant natural light to the interior spaces.

Vertical wooden cladding, used on specific sections of the facade, brings warmth and natural texture that contrasts with the cool smoothness of glass. The strict geometric lines of the facade are emphasized by minimalist window framing, enhancing the sense of structural lightness. Notable is the terrace area, furnished with an L-shaped wooden bench that organically complements the architectural composition of the building.

In this project, the architect skillfully employed techniques that can be applied when designing one's own home: contrasting material combinations to create an expressive image; utilizing panoramic glazing to visually expand space; incorporating wooden elements to soften strict lines; creating cantilevered extensions to add dynamism to the architectural form. The ground floor facade solution deserves special attention with its transparent sliding panels that blur the boundary between interior and exterior spaces.

We develop facade projects for country houses.
