Modern minimalist facade with cantilevered projection: harmony of concrete, wood and glass on a slope

#18105. Modern minimalist facade with cantilevered projection: harmony of concrete, wood and glass on a slope

Before us stands an expressive example of modern architecture where minimalism and functionality create a harmonious dialogue with the surrounding landscape. This two-story house is situated on a slope, which allowed the architects to create an impressive stepped composition. The facade demonstrates a masterful combination of materials: concrete, wood, and glass form an expressive aesthetic that is simultaneously austere and warm.

The upper level of the building features a cantilevered projection and a characteristic combination of wooden panels with large panoramic windows, creating an effect of lightness. Horizontal lines are emphasized by white elements and glass railings on the terraces. This solution not only visually lightens the massive structure but also provides an excellent view of the surrounding landscape.

The lower level consists of a monolithic concrete base that forms the ground floor and terrace. The stepped character of the facade is accentuated by staircases and multi-level platforms that are organically integrated into the landscape design of the plot.

The use of glass railings is notable as they create a sense of spatial continuity and visually expand the territory. The wooden deck forms an elegant bridge connecting different areas of the site, which serves as both a functional and aesthetic solution.

When designing your own facade design, it's worth considering several techniques from this example: combining contrasting materials to create a dynamic composition, using large glazed surfaces to connect with the natural surroundings, and thoughtful zoning of the territory taking into account the terrain.
