Contemporary two-story house with contrasting wooden and white plaster facade

#18047. Contemporary two-story house with contrasting wooden and white plaster facade

The presented house demonstrates a contemporary approach to facade design, skillfully combining contrasting materials and geometric forms. The composition is built on a dialogue between two volumes: a minimalist white block with a traditional gabled roof and a more restrained wooden cubic element. This juxtaposition creates a dynamic visual effect, emphasizing the individuality of the architectural solution.

The facade is characterized by thoughtful materiality: the warm texture of wooden panels harmoniously contrasts with white plaster and graphical black elements. Special attention deserves the treatment of window openings — large panoramic windows on the second floor provide visual lightness to the upper volume, despite its impressive size. In the lower part of the building, wooden inserts rhythmically alternate with dark surfaces, creating a balanced composition.

The architectural solution includes an expressive horizontal canopy serving as a second-floor terrace, which simultaneously functions as a practical element and creates a visual division of volumes. The laconic glazing is complemented by minimalist glass railings, emphasizing the modern aesthetic of the house.

When designing your own facade, several techniques from this project could be noted: contrasting combination of materials to create an expressive composition, the use of large window openings to improve insolation and visual connection with the surroundings, as well as playing with the form and proportions of various building volumes. An important aspect of successful design is the balance between contemporary trends and the functionality of each facade element.
