Biophilic façade with circular niche: a union of nature and modern technology

#17811. Biophilic façade with circular niche: a union of nature and modern technology

Before us is an expressive example of modern architecture where biophilic design harmoniously intertwines with innovative structural solutions. The central element of this façade is an impressive vertical gabion wall, illuminated by integrated LED lighting that creates a spectacular glow in the evening. Living climbing plants penetrating through the metal mesh add organic quality to the strict geometric structure.

Particular attention should be paid to the round panoramic window-niche, executed as a wooden portal. This element not only serves as an architectural dominant of the composition but also creates a cozy resting place, visually connecting the interior with the exterior. The warm tones of wood contrast with the cold metal surfaces of the façade, adding necessary tactility and warmth to the overall composition.

Notable is the landscape organization of the façade area, where tropical plants and ornamental grasses form a multi-level composition, emphasizing the eco-friendly character of the project. The brickwork on the side portion of the building introduces a traditional element into the ultra-modern appearance, demonstrating a masterful combination of various materials and textures.

This approach to façade design can be adapted for private homes as well, using smaller-scale gabion structures, integrated lighting, and contrasting materials. Round window-niches can become an expressive accent in any façade composition, while vertical greening will make the house part of its natural surroundings.
