#17624. Modern House with Mosaic Blue Facade: Geometry and Texture in Residential Architecture

This modern residential building represents an excellent example of an innovative approach to facade design. The geometrically clean form recalls the archetypal image of a house—a simple triangular silhouette with a gabled roof, but executed in a contemporary interpretation. The most striking feature is the mosaic exterior finish in blue-teal tones, creating the effect of a shimmering textural shell.

The facade is clad with small-format tiles in various shades, forming a dynamic visual pattern that changes depending on the viewing angle and lighting. This technique adds depth and character to the building while making it a notable architectural accent in the surrounding environment. The contrast between the cool palette of the facade and the warm wooden elements of the window frames and entrance creates a harmonious combination.

Particularly noteworthy are the minimalist window openings: clean rectangular forms protruding from the facade plane, creating a three-dimensional effect and playing with light and shadow. Windows of different sizes and asymmetrical placement add dynamism to the composition, breaking up the monolithic nature of the volume.

In a personal project, a similar approach to facade design can be adapted through the use of textural materials, playing with the geometry of openings, and contrasting combinations of finishing elements. Even with a more modest budget, expressiveness can be achieved through variations in finishing materials and thoughtful geometry.
