Modern two-level facade with contrasting finishes: concrete and wooden lamellas

#17466. Modern two-level facade with contrasting finishes: concrete and wooden lamellas

This modern house represents an expressive example of contrast architecture, combining distinct geometric forms and diverse materials. The building façade is organized according to the principle of multilayering: the lower section is executed in smooth light concrete with minimalist lines, creating the impression of a monolithic foundation, while the upper volume is clad with dark-toned horizontal wooden lamellas.

Particular attention should be paid to the interplay of volumes – the upper "floating" block with wooden cladding visually extends over the concrete base, creating a dynamic composition. Large panoramic windows ensure maximum penetration of natural light and visual connection with the surrounding urban space. The architect masterfully used facade design to create the impression of lightness in a massive structure.

The façade treatment demonstrates a fine balance between privacy and openness: the lower level with the entrance group is more enclosed, while the upper floors are more transparent due to glazing. The thoughtfully designed entrance with concrete parapets and staircase organically fits into the overall concept of the house. This technique of zoning and volume separation can be successfully applied when designing private homes to create an interesting architectural composition and functional division of space.
