Special attention should be paid to the facade design with vertical wooden louvers that serve several functions simultaneously: protecting from the scorching sun, providing natural ventilation, and creating an interplay of light and shadow within the space. These louvered elements can be adjusted, allowing control over the degree of privacy and illumination.
The concrete roof slab, extending beyond the main volume, forms wide overhangs that enhance protection from sun and rain. The minimalist aesthetics of the building is emphasized by the absence of excessive decoration — architectural expressiveness is achieved through structural elements and natural materials.
The external staircase with metal railings becomes an important compositional element, connecting the levels of the house and creating a dynamic accent against the background of the strict geometry of the main volume. The surrounding landscape with tropical vegetation organically complements the architecture, which seems to float above the green carpet of the lawn.
This project demonstrates a number of techniques that can be applied when designing your own home: using wooden louvers or blinds to control insolation, creating protruding roof elements, raising the main volume above the ground for visual lightness, as well as integrating architecture into the natural context with minimal intervention in the landscape.
