Modern house with dynamic Corten steel facade

#17137. Modern house with dynamic Corten steel facade

The presented architectural object demonstrates an expressive example of a modern residential house with a facade executed in the style of organic minimalism. The facade composition is built on a bold combination of materials and geometric forms, where Corten steel with its characteristic rusty patina dominates, giving the building natural warmth while maintaining an industrial character.

The facade is divided into several volumes, each with its own plasticity and material solution. The central part of the building is emphasized by a sharp-angled roof with wooden ceiling lining visible through large glass surfaces. The stonework integrated into the design creates a tactile contrast with the metal panels and emphasizes the house's connection with the surrounding landscape.

Of particular interest is the work with planes and angles — the facade panels are positioned at different inclinations, creating a dynamic play of light and shadow throughout the day. The garage door, integrated into the overall composition, is almost invisible due to the use of the same material as in the main facade planes.

When designing the facade of a private house, several techniques can be borrowed from this example: the use of contrasting natural materials, creation of dynamic forms using inclined planes, emphasizing the entrance area by changing the roof geometry, as well as thoughtful integration of large glass surfaces to connect interior with exterior.
