Amsterdam School brick facade with contrasting bay windows

#16205. Amsterdam School brick facade with contrasting bay windows

Before us stands a striking example of Amsterdam School architecture — a characteristic corner building with a rich brick facade and expressive rounded bay windows. The facade structure is clearly distinguished by the contrast between dark brown brickwork and white horizontal window elements.

Particularly noteworthy are the corner bay windows with horizontal white bands that create a layered effect and emphasize the building's dynamism. The projecting facade elements add volume and create an interesting play of light and shadow. The ground floor is designed with large display windows with light-colored framing, typical for commercial spaces.

The upper part of the building has a characteristic stepped finish, and the horizontal lines of the white window frames create a rhythmic contrast with the vertical mass of brickwork. In designing your own home, a similar technique of combining contrasting materials (dark brick and light details) can give the building expressiveness and highlight its architectural elements.

We design facades of country houses.
