Modernist Façade with Curved Glazing and Fluid Lines

#16187. Modernist Façade with Curved Glazing and Fluid Lines

Before us stands an excellent example of modernist architecture, demonstrating key principles of the International Style. The building features strict geometry and functionality with pronounced horizontal lines. The façade is characterized by abundant glazing in greenish metal frames that beautifully contrast with the smooth white walls.

Particularly noteworthy are the rounded corner elements and ribbon windows, creating a sense of continuity and fluidity. These curved glass façades maximize natural light in interior spaces. The stepped composition of the building with receding upper floors gives it dynamism and lightness, despite its significant volume.

In private home design, several techniques can be borrowed: the contrasting combination of light walls with colored window frames, the use of rounded corner elements to soften the overall appearance, and playing with different levels and volumes. Especially effective is the technique of combining enclosed and glazed spaces, creating an interesting visual rhythm across the façade.

We develop design projects for country houses.
