Modern facade with dynamic gables: harmony of stone, wood, and glass

#15882. Modern facade with dynamic gables: harmony of stone, wood, and glass

The modern residential house shown in the image is an excellent example of neo-modernist architecture with elements of Scandinavian style. The facade demonstrates a harmonious combination of various materials and textures, creating a visually appealing and functional exterior.

The architectural composition is characterized by a dynamic roof structure with several pointed gables covered with dark metal roofing. This solution not only gives the building an expressive silhouette but also creates additional space inside the second-floor rooms. Of particular note are the large triangular windows in the gables, which provide excellent natural lighting and visually lighten the massiveness of the roof.

The facade is executed using contrasting materials: the lower part is faced with natural gray stone, which gives the structure solidity and connection to the ground, while the upper level is finished with light gray siding, visually lightening the composition. Black accents in the form of window frames, roof trim, and decorative elements create a clear graphic pattern on the facade and emphasize the modern character of the building.

The garage with wooden doors in a warm honey shade becomes an important element of the composition, adding naturalness and warmth to the overall color scheme. Large panoramic windows and corner windows in the living room provide a magnificent connection with the surrounding landscape and fill the house with natural light.

This project demonstrates several techniques that can be used in designing your own facade: contrasting combination of materials (stone/wood/metal/siding), playing with roof geometry to create an expressive silhouette, using panoramic glazing to improve insolation, as well as a thoughtful color scheme based on a combination of neutral tones with accent elements.
