#15760. Two-faced facade: a play of contrasts and perforated brickwork

This modern residential building exemplifies a striking contrast in facade design, where various materials and textures harmoniously blend together. The facade is distinctly divided into two parts: the left side features light-colored horizontal panels creating a sense of lightness and space, while the right side is dominated by a perforated terracotta brick wall that serves as both a decorative element and a functional sunscreen.

The intricate brick lattice work (jali) deserves special attention as it creates a play of light and shadow on the facade, adding depth and textural richness to the building. This element is not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional — it provides partial privacy while maintaining air permeability and natural lighting.

The architectural composition of the building is based on the contrast of volumes and materials: white concrete elements of the first floor serve as a foundation for more expressive upper levels. The open balcony on the second floor with minimalist railings creates dynamism and lightness. The lower level includes a garage with wooden horizontal panels that bring warmth to the overall palette of the building.

When designing your own facade, a similar approach using contrasting materials (stone, wood, perforated elements) can significantly enrich the architectural appearance of the house. It's particularly worth paying attention to perforated facade elements, which can serve both decorative and functional purposes, creating a unique play of light and ensuring natural ventilation.
