Two-level façade with contrasting stone and brick finish

#15751. Two-level façade with contrasting stone and brick finish

The presented house demonstrates an interesting combination of natural materials and architectural forms. The façade is characterized by an expressive contrast between the stone masonry of the lower part and the brick finish of the upper level. Particularly eye-catching is the cylindrical element on the left side of the façade, which creates a dynamic accent and breaks the monotony of rectangular forms.

The lower level of the façade is clad with irregular natural stone, giving the building solidity and a connection to the natural landscape. The upper floor is made of terracotta brick, creating a warm color contrast with the gray stone. Especially notable is the tall arched window in the cylindrical volume, which visually makes the structure lighter and allows more natural light into the interior.

The wooden elements—the canopy over the entrance area and the wooden fence—deserve attention as they add warmth and coziness to the overall composition. The small overhang of the tiled roof provides protection for the façade from atmospheric precipitation while simultaneously completing the composition of the house.

When designing your own façade, you can adopt techniques such as combining different natural materials to create textural contrasts, using cylindrical or other non-standard geometric shapes to accentuate individual zones, and integrating landscape elements (trees) near the structure to soften the overall architectural image.
