Modern forest house with panoramic façade and stone details

#15404. Modern forest house with panoramic façade and stone details

Before us is a modern country house that skillfully combines elements of industrial style with its natural surroundings. The façade is distinguished by impressive panoramic glazing that occupies virtually the entire front of the structure. Particularly noteworthy is the two-level window system – the upper tier features a horizontal ribbon of windows creating an effect of roof lightness, while the lower level boasts floor-to-ceiling glazing that blurs the boundary between the interior space and the surrounding forest.

The architectural appearance is complemented by a stone chimney made of light natural stone, creating an important vertical accent in the predominantly horizontal composition of the façade. The exterior is finished in gray tones, allowing the building to harmoniously blend into the forest landscape, not competing with nature but complementing it.

Special attention should be paid to the entrance area with a stone terrace framed by a low retaining wall made of the same material as the chimney. Thoughtful landscaping using container plants softens the transition from architecture to nature. Elegant outdoor lighting in the form of a wall sconce emphasizes the careful consideration given to every detail of the project.

In designing one's own façade, several techniques can be borrowed, such as using large-scale glazing for maximum connection with nature, combining different textures (glass, stone, wood) to create visual interest, and applying a restrained color palette that emphasizes architectural expressiveness without excessive decoration. An important element is also the landscaping of the adjacent territory, which should be a continuation of the architectural concept of the house.
